St. Pier Giorgio Frassati Italy Vintage Long Sleeve T-Shirt | Verso L'Alto
Pier Giorgio Frassati was born into one of the wealthiest families in Turin and gave away nearly everything he had. He carried food, coal, and medicine to the poor of the city, prayed the Rosary daily, and climbed the Alps every chance he had. On a photo from his last climb in 1925 he wrote two words: “Verso l’alto,” toward the top. He died weeks later at twenty-four, likely of polio caught from the sick he served.
The design follows him up the trail toward a summit cross in the Italian Alps, rope across his back and pipe in his teeth. Canonized in 2025. Feast day July 4.
